What We Do

From a single swap to a full-house balance.

Radiator jobs aren't all the same. A quick swap on an old tail is a couple of hours. Upsizing for a cold room, fitting a vertical, or balancing a whole house is a different kind of job — and we price them that way.

Like-for-like radiator swaps

Tired, rusty, or leaking radiators replaced with modern equivalents on the same tails. Quick to do, clean finish, and the room usually heats up faster afterwards because the new radiator isn't clogged with sludge.

Right-sizing for cold rooms

If a room never feels warm, the radiator is often simply too small for the space. We'll work out the heat load properly and recommend a size that matches — rather than leaving you to guess by the look of the old one.

Heated towel rails & designer radiators

Bathroom towel rails, vertical column radiators, and designer panels fitted cleanly with isolation valves where they should be. Tidy pipe runs, neat first-fix, and no mystery cables.

Balancing cold and hot radiators

If one end of the house is roasting and the other end is cold, the system is out of balance. We balance lockshield valves properly so every radiator gets its fair share of flow — often fixing a problem that other engineers quoted as 'new boiler'.

TRV and valve replacements

Stuck thermostatic radiator valves, seized lockshields, and failed vent plugs replaced without turning the job into a whole-system drain-down. Small work, done properly.

Heat-pump-ready radiators

Low-flow-temperature heat pumps need larger radiator surface area than a traditional boiler. If you're planning a heat pump in the next few years, we can upsize radiators now so the later switchover is simpler and cheaper.

Why It Matters

Right-sized radiators make a bigger difference than most new boilers.

A lot of houses get quoted for a new boiler when the real issue is a radiator or two that's the wrong size — or an unbalanced system that never shares the heat evenly.

Comfort

Rooms that actually heat up evenly

Right-sized, balanced radiators mean the hallway is no longer boiling while the back bedroom stays cold. The boiler spends less time on full blast — quieter, cheaper, and more comfortable.

Efficiency

Lower flow temperatures, longer condensing time

Larger and better-sized radiators let a modern condensing boiler run at lower flow temperatures, which is where the efficiency comes from. It's also exactly what a heat pump will need later if that's the plan.

Tidy finish

Neat pipework and clean-up every time

We dust-sheet floors, isolate the work properly, and keep pipe runs tidy. The plaster above the skirting stays intact, and we take the old radiators away with us.

How It Works

From the first call to a warmer room.

No sales pressure, no surprise extras. Four clear steps from the first visit to the handover.

01

Free home survey

We visit to measure the room, check existing pipework, look at the state of the water, and see what kind of radiator actually fits — visually and thermally.

02

Fixed written quote

Clear price covering the radiator, valves, any pipework changes, and a chemical flush where the system justifies it. Optional extras broken out separately.

03

Clean install, heating back on each day

Most radiator work is finished in a day or two. We drain only what we need to, fit the new radiators, and have the heating back on by the end of the day wherever possible.

04

Balance and commission

We balance the system so every radiator heats up at the right rate, top up inhibitor, and check the pressure. The house feels different within the first evening.

Good to know

Radiator work is often part of a broader central heating refresh. If you're already thinking about a power flush or a controls upgrade, we'll scope them together and keep the price straightforward. See the central heating hub for related work.

Got a specific room in mind?

Tell us which room is cold, what kind of radiator is on the wall, and we'll tell you straight whether a swap, an upsize, or a balance is the right move.

Often it's a balancing, sludge, or sizing issue rather than a radiator problem — and those are much cheaper to fix. We'll tell you straight at the survey whether a new radiator is the right call, or whether a flush, a balance, or a valve change will fix the same symptom for a fraction of the cost.
